Leslie Sobol

Leslie Sobol enjoys forging workable solutions to difficult problems and brings more than fifteen years of business insight to the task. With an emphasis on taxation, she cuts through confusing and inadequate information to guide enterprises through difficult transitional phases. Leslie’s clients share a common thread, they are closely held entities, but they span many industries including services, distribution, manufacturing, and retail. She believes executives should have accurate, timely financial information to make sound decisions. Sound tax planning is part of planning for success. Leslie began her career with Laventhol & Horwath, where she developed her skills in audit and assurance. Leslie left public accounting to become the controller of a multi-state telecommunications company. Returning to public accounting, she joined a local firm where she specialized in tax and consulting. Since joining Lucas, Horsfall, Murphy & Pindroh, LLP, Leslie serves a wide mix of commercial enterprises. Leslie serves on the, professional advisory board to the Graduate School of Taxation at California State University Northridge (“CSUN”) She is founding editor of the Tax Development Journal (“TDJ”). Her most recent publication, “Sweeping Changes in Bond Legislation Enhance the Benefits to both Issuers and Purchasers of Bond Financing”, was published in the TDJ and excerpted in the Valley News. Leslie is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and has a Masters of Science in Taxation from CSUN.
